Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) will cut gas supply to several parts of Islamabad starting 9 PM on Monday, 19 October 2026. The utility company plans to restore the service at 6 AM on Tuesday, 20 October.
Maintenance work on the main pipelines necessitates these interruptions, including a hook-up on the primary line between Faizabad and Khanna Pul. A second suspension is required to disconnect a main pipeline in the Blue Area.
Gas will be unavailable from 10 PM on Monday until 6 AM on Tuesday in the Blue Area, Sector G-7, and surrounding locations. Other affected zones include Ghouri Town to Faizabad service road (east), Lehtrar Road from Khanna Pul to Burma Town, Sohan Ghouri Town, Gulberg Town, Shakrial Rehman Garden, Burma Town, and Garden Town with its adjoining areas.
SNGPL has advised consumers to arrange alternative measures and ensure all gas appliances remain switched off during the outage. The federal government initiated its winter gas management plan earlier this month.
