Pakistan and Iran to publish 40 children's books in Urdu

The National Book Foundation (NBF) and the Iranian Embassy agreed to translate and publish 40 children's books into Urdu. Majid Meshki, the Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited the National Book Foundation to discuss the initiative.
During the visit, Meshki met with Dr. Kamran Jahangir, who serves as the Managing Director of the National Book Foundation. Murad Ali Mohmand also attended the meeting to oversee the proceedings.
The Iranian Embassy will supply the copyrights, publishing rights, and Urdu translations for the selected titles. Publication, promotion, and nationwide distribution of these books will be handled by the National Book Foundation.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is set to formalise this partnership between the two entities. The signing ceremony for the agreement may take place at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.
