The reissue of Vulture Street reached the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart, according to reports. This achievement set a record for the longest period a domestically produced album maintained a climb back to the chart's peak.

The five former band members—Bernard Fanning, Ian Haug, Darren Middleton, John “JC” Collins, and Jon Coghill—are the core of the group. The band first released its album Internationalist in 1998.

Their seventh and final studio album arrived in 2009 with Golden Rule. The group previously went dormant following their farewell tour in 2010, which sold over 200,000 tickets.

The band members reunited in 2020 to host a virtual concert titled “One Night Lonely”. That virtual performance successfully raised more than A$500,000 for Support Act and Beyond Blue.

In August 2023, the band gathered in their home city for a fan event and a question-and-answer session. The band's biggest international hit song remains “My Happiness”, which peaked at number 23 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart in 2001.

Furthermore, the band recorded three tracks featured in triple j’s first-ever hottest 100 of Australian songs in July 2025. Bernard Fanning’s solo record, “Wish You Well,” reached number 57 on the charts.
