Nicki Minaj joined Donald Trump on stage at a rally in Michigan for the midterm elections scheduled for 3 November. The rapper accompanied the President to Michigan aboard Air Force One.

While on the plane, Minaj filmed a video pretending to interview for the role of White House press secretary, a position Katie Zacharia vacated five days after her public debut. Trump praised Minaj's figure, stating, "She never looked more beautiful," and added, "She gets it. She's smart."

Minaj identified herself as the "number one fan" of Trump and led the crowd in Port Huron on Sunday to chant the names of the President and other Republican candidates. The artist stated, "He's given us a future to look forward to" and claimed he "changed the energy of the country."

Minaj also supported Trump's claims that Christians are persecuted in Nigeria. In Michigan, Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is in a close race with Republican Mike Rogers.

Former President Barack Obama held a rally with El-Sayed on Saturday. Trump alleged that El-Sayed would "invite jihadists" into the United States if he wins the election.

El-Sayed responded by saying Trump "thinks he can use my name and my faith to distract us from the suffering his policies are inflicting on us at the pump, at the grocery store, and at the doctor's office." Minaj told the crowd, "We really need all these great people to be elected, because this is a major turning point for our country."

"He's given us a future to look forward to," Nicki Minaj said.
