BYD to launch Pakistan vehicle manufacturing plant by mid-December 2026

BYD will begin operations at its Pakistan vehicle manufacturing plant by mid-December 2026. The company expects to sell between 1,000 and 1,500 vehicles every month during the initial phase.
Production will rely exclusively on imported components and raw materials when the factory first opens. A long-term objective involves procuring up to 80% of the necessary production inputs from local sources.
BYD plans to roll out additional vehicle models in successive phases. Customers can expect to receive deliveries of the first models starting in 2025.
The manufacturer entered the Pakistani market through a partnership with Mega Motor Company. This collaboration started introducing new-energy vehicles to the local market in 2024.
The brand anticipates a traditional ownership cycle of five to 10 years for its vehicles.
