The Punjab School Education Department has opened eight vacancies for IT professionals to work under the Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit in Lahore. These positions are part of the Actions to Strengthen Performance for Inclusive and Responsive Education (ASPIRE) project, which the Punjab Education Sector Reforms Program (PESRP) implements.

The department is seeking to hire software engineers, database administrators, cybersecurity professionals, and other technical staff. Three roles fall under the PPS-10 pay scale, including Software Team Lead, Database Administrator, and DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security.

Another three positions carry the PPS-9 pay scale for Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer (UI/UX), and QA/Test Engineer. Two vacancies are available under the PPS-8 pay scale for Network/System Administrator and Junior Software Engineer.

Applicants must possess a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission. Preference will be given to candidates with Scrum and Agile development knowledge for the Software Team Lead role, while PMP or PRINCE2 certifications are also valued.

The department will favour candidates holding relevant database administration certifications for the Database Administrator post and those with a Certified DevOps Engineer qualification for the DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security role. Qualifications in Artificial Intelligence (AI) are accepted for the Senior Software Engineer position.

Candidates for the QA/Test Engineer role should understand SQL injection and load testing, with professional certifications providing an advantage. Professional networking certifications are listed as preferred qualifications for the Network/System Administrator vacancy.

The department will only accept submissions via the online portal and will not consider applications sent by hand or courier.
