Mohammad Ishaq Dar calls for political unity against terrorism in Senate

Mohammad Ishaq Dar urged all political parties to collaborate in the fight against terrorism during a Senate session on 13 October. Dar stated that both federal and provincial governments share the duty of ensuring stability and security across the country.
The Constitution provides a specific mechanism for obtaining parliamentary approval on emergency measures. More than 3,000 terrorist attacks occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the tenure of Sohail Afridi.
An extra one per cent share was allocated to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award. Pakistan faced a potential default in 2022.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not condemn the attack on the Jaffar Express.
