Saudia and Riyadh Air have announced new flights to Pakistan to address travel disruptions. Riyadh Air will operate extra flights on 21 and 22 October 2026, connecting Jeddah with Islamabad and Lahore.

Saudia is adding two extra flights to serve Islamabad and Peshawar, with the first scheduled for 21 October 2026. Passengers whose Riyadh Air flights were cancelled due to the ongoing disruption may use these new services.

Travelers holding tickets with other airlines might also be eligible for the extra flights, depending on seat availability. The closure of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh caused the initial travel issues.

Mustafa Rabbani stated that the Jeddah Consulate has provided guidance and assistance to Pakistanis stranded by the airport closure. According to Rabbani, the consulate and the Pakistani embassy assisted Saudia in transporting stranded passengers from Riyadh to Jeddah by road.

Saudia also arranged food and accommodation for the passengers in Jeddah.
