Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayin-e-Pakistan (TTAP) has halted all ongoing negotiations with the federal government. Mehmood Khan Achakzai serves as the only authorised representative for the alliance during discussions with state authorities.
The group linked the continuation of dialogue to a meeting with imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan and the release of his medical records. On 11 October, the federal cabinet reviewed security conditions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before declaring an emergency under Article 232 of the Constitution.
Governor’s rule was also imposed in the province under Article 234 on that same day. TTAP described this intervention as a "robbery" and a midnight attack on the people's mandate and the Constitution.
The alliance called for an immediate end to the emergency and the withdrawal of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Demands were also made for the release of KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, and PTI provincial president Junaid Akbar.
The group further requested the freedom of arrested members from both the National Assembly and the provincial assembly. TTAP alleged that Imran Khan’s sisters have remained in detention for nearly three weeks under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance.
The alliance stated it would contact the United Nations and international human rights organisations regarding alleged violations of judicial independence, media freedom, and constitutional rights.
