Asa Tribe is returning to the Jersey national team as the side seeks to qualify for the 2026 Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off in Nepal. Jersey currently sits at the top of a six-team pool in the ICC Challenge League A and requires two more wins to progress.

The batter previously made his international debut for Jersey at the age of 17. He has not represented Jersey since the summer of 2025.

Tribe achieved a record score of 175 not out against Papua New Guinea, which stands as the highest individual batting total in the ICC Challenge League. During a win over Qatar, he also recorded an unbeaten 53 runs.

His recent career highlights include scoring three List A centuries in a single week and playing franchise cricket in Canada and South Africa. Glamorgan scouts identified Tribe while he was playing university cricket in Cardiff.

The club won promotion in 2025 and maintained its Division One status in the County Championship this year. Tribe will join the England Lions for a tour of the Caribbean next month.

Other notable figures in the region include Emilio Gay, who was called up by England for a Test against New Zealand in June and played for Italy in the T20 World Cup.
