Coalition plans immigration cuts; target falls between Labor and One Nation goals

The Coalition intends to unveil its immigration policy, which includes reductions to overseas migration targets. The Coalition's projected figure for net overseas migration (Nom) will sit below the Labour Party's proposal but will exceed the goal set by One Nation of 130,000 people annually.
Angus Taylor is expected to present the Coalition's policy details on Tuesday. Nine newspapers reported that the initial net migration figure dropped to approximately 100,000 in the first year.
Labour's plan aims to reduce Nom to 245,000 for the current financial year. Furthermore, Labour's plan seeks to bring Nom down to 225,000 by the 2027-28 period.
Nation announced a plan to cut temporary migrants by over 750,000 across three years. Andrew Wallace stated that the Coalition's plan will be carefully targeted to ensure the appropriate number of people with the correct skills.
Barnaby Joyce claimed credit for the Coalition's policy.
