Analogue announced the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ consoles, which will retail for $219.99 each. Shipping for the new hardware is expected to begin in December.
Preorders for the devices open on 19 October at 9AM PT/11AM ET. The systems utilize FPGA hardware to replicate original console architecture, allowing them to play more than 2,200 games.
A reworked industrial design defines the new consoles, which are region-free and support video output up to 1080p. These units do not support 4K resolution for SNES or Genesis titles.
The Mega Sg+ model includes a Master System adapter and a Sega CD connector. Connectivity features include built-in support for Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless controllers, along with a dedicated pairing button.
Users can power the systems on and off remotely using a connected gamepad. While wired controllers remain an option, Analogue does not include gamepads with either console.
Hardware ports include a USB-C power input, a USB-A port for peripherals, and an SD card slot. The consoles allow users to hot swap game cartridges without turning the power off.
