Shaheen Shah Afridi became the quickest Pakistani fast bowler to claim 150 wickets in One Day International cricket during a match in Lahore. The milestone was achieved in his 80th ODI, surpassing the 91 matches required by both Shoaib Akhtar and Waqar Younis to reach the same tally.
Afridi dismissed Tom Banton in the opening over and finished with figures of 4-46 in 8.4 overs, bringing his total career wicket count to 153. England was bowled out for 241 in 46.4 overs after Ben Duckett scored 105 off 111 balls, while Sam Curran added 42 runs and Gus Atkinson remained unbeaten on 36.
Pakistan reached 243-9 in 47.1 overs to secure a one-wicket win, marking their third consecutive victory in the tri-series. Shadab Khan was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 113 off 96 balls, which included 13 fours and 5 sixes.
Khan shared an unbeaten 89-run partnership with Haris Rauf, who contributed 7 runs, to clinch the win and qualify for the tri-series final. The fourth match of the tri-series against England saw Pakistan advance while other historical milestones included Saqlain Mushtaq reaching 150 wickets in 78 matches, Saeed Ajmal in 93, and Umar Gul in 104.
