Amazon made the Fire TV Stick 4K available starting today for $59.99. The company's streaming stick range now comprises four distinct devices: the Fire TV Stick HD, the Fire TV Stick 4K, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and the Fire TV Cube.
This new 4K model replaces Amazon’s previous streaming sticks known as the “Select” and “Plus” 4K versions. Alongside the new stick, Amazon is also releasing a redesigned Fire TV Remote.
This updated remote functions with all Amazon Ember TVs and Fire TV streaming devices manufactured from 2019 onwards. Separately, the standalone new remote will cost $14.99 and is scheduled to begin shipping in late October.
Amazon also intends to release a “Plus” version of the remote early next year. Furthermore, Amazon is launching an Alexa Plus Hub and an Alexa Plus integration within the Fire TV mobile application.
Amazon's artificial intelligence now incorporates real-world context, such as awards and events, when suggesting films and shows. Later this fall, Amazon Music will receive a new Fire TV app featuring an Alexa Plus integration.
