The new ergonomic Rival Pro and ambidextrous Sensei Pro wireless gaming mice are now available for purchase. The Rival Pro model weighs 53 grams when finished in black, while the white version weighs 54 grams.

These mice incorporate swappable batteries and a wireless base station for extended use. SteelSeries claims that Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology offers 20 times the bandwidth and lower latency.

Communication between the devices occurs via UWB, operating within the 6.4GHz to 9.056GHz frequency range. Powering the mice, each battery unit sustains operation for 16 hours when set at an 8,000Hz polling rate.

Conversely, the batteries maintain a 60-hour lifespan when operating at a 1,000Hz polling rate. SuperSync technology decouples the click function from the sensor polling rate.

SteelSeries stated that decoupling polling rates should reduce the strain on the CPU even with 8,000Hz enabled. Smart DPI automatically adjusts the DPI setting when a user moves from an in-game scenario to menu navigation.

Users can access the GG companion app through a browser-based web application on Chrome or Edge. The initial purchase price for both the Rival Pro and the Sensei Pro is set at $179 apiece.

Pre-orders for the Rival Pro and Sensei Pro commence now, with shopping scheduled for 13 October. Smaller versions of the Rival Pro and Sensei Pro are also available, weighing four grams less and costing $179 each.
