Paris police impose new curfew on central east square Tuesday night

Paris police ordered a new curfew for parts of the city for Tuesday overnight. The restriction applies specifically to the Republique public square in the city's central east.
From 2100 GMT Tuesday to 0400 GMT Wednesday, residents and visitors must adhere to the new rules. Authorities stated that a previous night curfew successfully restored calm after weekend riots and looting occurred.
