The Capital Development Authority (CDA) gave in-principle approval to two high-rise buildings in the Blue Area during a committee meeting at its headquarters. Muhammad Umair, the Member Planning and Development, chaired the session where the Design Vetting Committee (DVC) reviewed the proposals.

One proposed mixed-use tower on Plot 13 in Blue Area, Sector F-8/G-8, is designed to reach a height of approximately 659 feet. This 45-storey structure features a covered area of 557,641 square feet and includes five underground floors dedicated to parking.

A second high-rise on Plot 09 in Blue Area, Sector F-9/G-9, received approval for a 42-floor tower standing roughly 580 feet tall. The authority also greenlit three additional development projects, including the Tremezzo Mall in Bahria Garden City.

Plot 62 in the Business Park at Gulberg Greens and Plot 108 in Park Avenue North, Gulberg Greens, were also granted in-principle status. The CDA stated these approvals are part of efforts to encourage private-sector investment, promote vertical development, and facilitate commercial construction in the capital.

All projects must meet relevant legal, technical and regulatory requirements before receiving final approval, the CDA said.
