Actor RJ Mitte has died at the age of 34, a representative for the performer confirmed to Variety. Mitte was born in Jackson, Mississippi, where he suffered brain damage at birth and was subsequently adopted.

A diagnosis of cerebral palsy followed at age 3. The performer gained recognition for his role as Walter White Jr. in the series Breaking Bad and appeared in Switched at Birth.

Beyond acting, Mitte served as an ambassador for Shriners Children's and United Cerebral Palsy while also leading his own charity, the Mitte Foundation.

He was engaged to his long-term partner, Kennedy Suarez, whom he had been dating since 2018. Mitte was actively promoting his new film Talking to Strangers and appeared on several podcasts just days before his death.
