Atmovie Global Track has formalised a partnership with Ties That Bind to assist Japanese filmmakers in navigating the international co-production market. The FVG fund organises Ties That Bind in conjunction with EAVE and the Udine Far East Film Festival.

Selected fellows from the program will pitch projects at the Japan Pavilion during the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025. Participants are also scheduled to pitch at the Japan Pitch event during the Busan International Film Festival in October 2026.

The Japan Creator Support Fund, established by the Japan Arts Council using Agency for Cultural Affairs funding, provides financial backing for the program. Oh Heejung, the founder of Seesaw Pictures, will lead a closed two-day workshop on 27 and 28 October 2026.

Bruncher, who serves as the head of studies for Ties That Bind, will also mentor the accelerator's fellows during the same two-day period. Alessandro Gropplero curated the overall program, which focuses on project development and career path discussions through group sessions.

Producers of Renoir will speak at a session regarding Asia-Europe co-production at Tokyo’s TIFFCOM market on 30 October 2026. Sekiguchi Mio curated the panel, while Moriya Takeshi, the CEO of Atmovie, oversees the organisation.

The organizers stated that the open session is meant to share lessons with the wider industry and grow the network of Japanese filmmakers pursuing international work. Moriya Takeshi, who has producing credits for the TV series Midnight Diner, is involved in the initiative.

The Tokyo festival will feature Muriel d’Ansembourg’s Berlinale title Truly Naked and Kamila Andini’s Toronto selection Four Seasons in Java. Uchida Eiji’s Midnight Swan was previously named picture of the year at the 44th Japan Academy Film Prizes.
