Apple is collaborating with LG to develop a new range of smart home accessories and devices. The resulting smart home products will bear the LG brand name.

Among the forthcoming items is a thermostat featuring a 'Far Sight Display'. The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock incorporates a keypad that reportedly 'rotates to open'.

Functionality for the LG Smart Deadbolt Lock includes automatic unlocking, tap to unlock, emergency power, adjustable light settings, and an alarm for unsecured doors. For added security, the LG Smart Deadbolt Lock will also supply a pair of mechanical keys as a backup measure.

The LG Smart Thermostat boasts a streamlined circular design, displaying current temperature and humidity on a large face. Users can adjust settings on the LG Smart Thermostat, including its 'Far Sight Display,' brightness, and 'calibrated temperature/temperature offset.'

Furthermore, an accompanying LG Temperature Sensor can measure humidity and provide readings for other rooms when installed. This LG Temperature Sensor features a magnetic back, an adhesive metal plate, and a replaceable battery.

These devices are expected to integrate with Apple’s rumoured smart home hub, which is anticipated to launch on 13 October 2026.
