Elon Musk donated at least $276 million to various Republican groups since July. Musk currently stands as the party’s most prominent known donor and its largest established contributor for the midterm elections.
$158 million of these funds went into the Senate Leadership Fund to help maintain a Republican majority in the Senate. The fund is specifically working to keep the party's seat in Texas.
Over $76 million was provided to America PAC, an organisation Musk established in 2024. Additional contributions included $20 million for the Congressional Leadership Fund to support House Republicans and $10 million for Lone Star Liberty PAC to back Ken Paxton’s Senate bid in Texas.
$10 million was also directed to the Republican Governors Association, while $2 million went to the Republican Attorneys General Association. Musk has contributed roughly $366 million to federal committees throughout the 2025-26 election cycle.
In 2024, he gave $290 million to assist President Trump in returning to office. Musk stated, "In terms of political spending, I’m going to do a lot less in the future."
