Peshawar Division Commissioner Khalid Mahmood directed authorities to expedite work on major flyovers and underpasses situated along the Ring Road. The projects must be finished within their original scheduled timeframes.
During a progress review, Mahmood inspected the Jamil Chowk Underpass, Hazara Khwani Flyover, Pishtakhara Chowk Underpass, and the underpass located near the Hayatabad Ring Road Toll Plaza. The Peshawar deputy commissioner, the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) director general, and the PDA chief engineer attended the meeting alongside the director of roads and other technical officials.
Mahmood instructed relevant departments to quickly remove any obstacles currently hindering construction progress. To maintain the timeline, the commissioner called for a joint strategy and tighter coordination between all involved agencies.
Completed structures will make the Ring Road fully signal-free, facilitating smoother traffic flow and more convenient travel for the public. Officials were also ordered to hasten work on remaining Northern Bypass sections, specifically the flyovers at Charsadda Road and Warsak Road.
