Meta launched the Muse Spark Open AI model on 15 October as its most capable US open-weight offering to date. The natively multimodal model contains a total of 816 billion parameters.
Mark Zuckerberg stated, "Muse Spark Open -- weights releasing today -- runs great on new Mac Studios thanks to work with @johnternus and Apple." John Ternus congratulated the team on the release.
Separate from the AI model, Apple introduced a refreshed fourth-generation Apple TV 4K and several other hardware products on 13 October. The new media player costs $299 and began its pre-order phase on the same day, with a scheduled release for 13 November.
Equipped with an A19 chip, the device includes 128GB of storage, an Ethernet port, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Users can pair up to four second-generation HomePods or HomePod Mini 2s for surround sound, while the remote features Find My and far-field microphones for Siri AI.
Apple also announced the HomeView smart display for $299 and a HomePod Mini 2 priced at $149. The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K will be available in English across eight countries.
