Brandi Carlile will receive the Los Angeles Press Club’s annual Visionary Award for Humanitarian Work. The award ceremony takes place in December at the National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards Gala.

Jane Fonda was the first recipient of this honour in 2012. Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen received the prize last year.

Earlier in October, Carlile appeared at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. The artist recently released a deluxe companion version of the album “Returning to Myself (Sad Gay Version)”.

Carlile and band members Phil and Tim Hanseroth finished their first headlining U.S. arena tour, the “Human Tour”. The “Burn the Setlist (The All-Request Tour)” begins in theaters in November.

Europe will host the resumption of the “Human Tour” in early 2027. The Looking Out Foundation has distributed more than $10 million to community-based nonprofit organisations.

Carlile established XOBC Cellars to direct proceeds to the Looking Out Foundation. Carlile said she is "helping them to defend the rights and joys of refugees, immigrants, the LGBTQIA2S+ community and more."

A livestream titled “Be Human: A Concert for Minneapolis” raised over $750,000. These funds were donated to Minnesota’s The Advocates for Human Rights.
