Initial online orders for the iPhone Duo sold out within minutes after Apple announced its first folding phone in September. Delivery times for some customers were pushed to January.
The new foldable iPhone Duo was on display during Apple's event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California, the US on September 9, 2026. Analysts expect iPhone Duo to dominate a niche segment where Samsung Electronics and Huawei Technologies have sold premium offerings for years.
iPhone Duo units will only be available for customers who already bought them online in mainland China, France, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the UAE. In Macau, the iPhone Duo will be available for walk-in customers only with limited inventory.
Apple stated, "Apple Stores will have limited iPhone Duo available for walk-in customers, and we’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into customers’ hands as quickly as possible."
