Sri Lanka and Bangladesh advance to men’s cricket semi-finals after rain delays
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh advanced to the men’s cricket semi-finals following the quarter-final matches being abandoned without any balls bowled. Rain caused the abandonment of the quarter-final matches.
The semi-final fixtures confirm that Sri Lanka will face India. Furthermore, Bangladesh is scheduled to play Pakistan in the semi-finals on Thursday.
Previously, Sri Lanka was slated to play Nepal, and Bangladesh was set to take on Malaysia. Najmul Hossain Shanto is unavailable for Bangladesh.
The tournament ruled out Najmul Hossain Shanto because of a fever and infection.
Jarrad Shearer stated, “Cricket, like baseball, you can’t play it in the rain. A year of my life on this, and it rains.”
