Angela Scanlon hosts BBC Radio 2's weekday drivetime show from November

Angela Scanlon will take over the BBC Radio 2 drivetime show every weekday from November. The show, which runs from 16:00 to 19:00, marks Scanlon's new role.
Sara Cox moved to the breakfast slot. Scanlon previously hosted a Sunday early morning programme on the station between 2018 and 2021.
Scanlon announced the news while appearing on Cox's breakfast show on Monday. Radio 2 controller Helen Thomas described Scanlon as "incredibly warm and quick witted".
Ben Earle will present the station's weekly country music programme. Bob Harris announced his departure in June.
Ben Earle has fronted a weekly show on Absolute Radio Country for the last five years. Helen Thomas stated Ben Earle is the ideal person to pick up the reins from Bob Harris.
