Houthi missiles and drones struck the presidential palace in Aden, Yemen, on 15 October. At least four people died and 10 others were injured during the explosions near the palace used by Yemen’s internationally recognised government.
Three missiles hit a command centre for the Saudi-led coalition, while two additional missiles struck the headquarters of the coalition forces at the presidential complex. Yemeni Prime Minister Shaya al-Zindani was present during the assault but remained unhurt.
A government minister said on condition of anonymity that the Prime Minister "was not harmed in any way". The Houthis claimed responsibility for the strike on the presidential palace.
Brig Gen Yahya Saree denied that the Houthis carried out the attack. Saudi Arabia intercepted one cruise missile over Medina province and destroyed a drone in its eastern province on 15 October.
One more drone was intercepted by Saudi forces in Khamis Mushait. Dozens of flights were delayed or cancelled at Jeddah’s airport following the escalation.
Houthi attacks hit the headquarters of Saudi Aramco earlier this week.
