Punjab’s School Education Department announced the recruitment drive for School Teacher Interns (STI) across government schools. The department confirmed that the internship period will run from 3 November 2026 until 31 May 2027.
Online applications must be submitted by 18 October 2026, at 11:59 pm. Positions available for the interns span primary, elementary, high, and higher secondary school levels.
Candidates applying must fall within the age bracket of 21 to 45 years old. Stipends vary by school level; primary school interns receive Rs. 38,000.
Elementary school interns will receive a stipend of Rs. 40,000. For high and higher secondary schools, the stipend amount stands at Rs. 45,000.
Initial merit lists are set to appear on 23 October 2026. Following this, objections and complaints will be accepted from 26 to 27 October 2026.
Interviews for the candidates are scheduled to take place between 29 and 30 October 2026. The final merit lists are due out on 31 October 2026.
