Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Bilal Yasin revealed development projects for the Walled City revamp during an open court session in his constituency on 2 October 2026. The development projects in Lahore's Walled City intend to enhance beauty and provide better facilities across the area.
Furthermore, Yasin confirmed that the process for granting loans to low-income families for house construction and repair will be expedited. During his address, Yasin stated, "The network of development projects in the Walled City reflects the public service vision of Mian Nawaz Sharif."
He also noted that the completion of various parking plazas next year should significantly lessen traffic pressure within the city. Directing officers, Yasin instructed them to ensure the immediate resolution of public complaints.
Amid the current political climate, maintaining peace, stability, and the continuity of routine life remains essential. Yasin acknowledged that both the populace and the government are jointly confronting difficulties in challenging economic times.
Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon announce measures designed to reduce the impact of inflation and offer relief.
