Netflix to report box office grosses for first time

Netflix will disclose box office grosses for the first time in its history. The company intends to release the earnings figures for "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth" around Thanksgiving.
Plans are also in place to share the grosses for "Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory" in 2027. Previous releases from the platform include the 2022 film "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story" and the "Kpop Demon Hunters" re-release last year.
The streaming service also recently aired the series finale of "Stranger Things". Netflix cut 1,000 jobs last week as part of its ongoing restructuring.
Peter Rice has taken over as chief content officer, replacing Bela Bajaria in the role. Ted Sarandos described the previous lack of such data as an "outmoded idea".
