Pakistan called for the withdrawal of Israel from all occupied Syrian territory during a United Nations Security Council briefing on Syria's humanitarian and political status. Ambassador Usman Jadoon described the continued occupation as flagrant violations of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, alongside international law.

The diplomat stated that such actions are profoundly counterproductive to the prospects for regional peace and stability. Islamabad urged full compliance with the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement and cited UN Security Council resolutions 338 and 497 regarding the occupied Syrian Golan.

Pakistan welcomed Syria's progress in engaging with the Syrian Democratic Forces and its efforts toward a political transition through national reconciliation. The country noted that lifting sanctions from the European Union and the United States would provide impetus to Syria's recovery.

Leadership from Pakistan and Syria met on the sidelines of the General Assembly High-Level Week to discuss bilateral ties. "Pakistan will remain a steadfast friend and partner of Syria," Jadoon said.
