Major Hollywood agencies and studios form American Entertainment Alliance to lobby streaming giants

CAA, UTA and WME joined as founding members of the American Entertainment Alliance on 15 October. The group includes production houses such as Anonymous Content, Blumhouse, and Imagine Entertainment, alongside Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.
Other founding entities comprise Jeff Sagansky, Legendary Entertainment, MRC, North Road, Producers United, Propagate Content and Ziffren Brittenham. The alliance aims for U.S. legislation requiring streaming providers to allocate at least 50 percent of their budgets toward independent productions.
Members also want licensing and syndication rights for movies and television shows to revert back to production companies after a few years. The Streaming Innovation Alliance criticized the proposal, describing it as a call for "blunt government mandates" regarding how projects are greenlit.
Paramount merged as Skydance during this period of industry shifts.
