Egypt's Intelligence Chief Warns Israel Over Dangerous Gaza Situation

Abbas Kamel, Egypt's intelligence chief, visited Israel and issued a warning regarding the dangerous situation in Gaza. During his visit, Kamel spent about 67 minutes in Israel and met with senior Israeli national security officials.
The UAE's leader also cautioned Netanyahu about the peril emanating from Gaza. Israeli military inquiries admitted shortcomings in assessing Hamas's intentions and capabilities, and in grasping the scale and immediacy of the danger.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that the Israeli military targeted and killed Izz al-Din Al-Beik. Medics and sources from Hamas confirmed Al-Beik's death following the Israeli strike on an apartment building in Gaza City’s Nasr neighbourhood near dawn.
Furthermore, Israeli surveillance, intelligence, and military personnel had detected unusual Hamas activity within Gaza prior to 7 October.
