Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boosts doctor stipends for staff working during hospital protests

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government announced a 15 percent increase in stipends for doctors who continued working during the recent protest in government hospitals. Furthermore, the government decided to raise the pay of doctors who did not take part in the strike.
PGMI requested lists detailing medical officers who remained at work throughout the strike period. Authorities also directed that Islamabad Medical teaching institutions must furnish trainee lists within two days.
This required list must specify the trainee’s name, department, training level, the date their duty began, and the supervisor who monitored them during the strike. Relevant department chairs must verify the attendance and duty particulars for all trainees.
Only trainees who performed duty during the strike will qualify for the 15 percent additional stipend. The additional stipend for trainees who did not report for duty will remain pending until the dispute is resolved.
