Open-source tool RemoveMacAI deletes Apple Intelligence data from macOS

The open-source tool RemoveMacAI deletes Apple Intelligence data when used on macOS, according to reports. The utility deactivates several features, including Siri, Writing Tools, Genmoji, Image Playground, the ChatGPT extension, and all summary functions, while also deleting the underlying models.
Developers suggest that the modifications implemented by RemoveMacAI remain active even after subsequent macOS updates. Furthermore, users can reactivate the AI models using a specific 'removemacai revert' command.
Regarding storage, developers estimate that foundation models occupy approximately 12 GB of space. Conversely, Apple Intelligence is reported to consume about 35.05 GB of storage space on a MacBook Air.
The Apple Intelligence features are distributed across various settings panes within macOS 27.
