Apple AirPods 5 feature pronged battery contacts, improving repairability slightly

Apple made the AirPods 5 slightly easier to repair, according to reports. The company returned to using pronged battery contacts for the AirPods 5.
iFixit assigned the AirPods 5 a repairability score of 2 out of 10. This score contrasts sharply with iFixit's rating of previous AirPods models, which received 0 out of 10 over the last ten years.
Repairing the AirPods 5 still involves clamping the earbud and applying hot air to soften the adhesive. Furthermore, the left and right AirPods utilize batteries with opposing polarities.
