Guided Vision launches in Gemini Live on compatible Android devices

Guided Vision is launching within Gemini Live on compatible Android devices, providing new accessibility features for users. The AI capability will deliver real-time audio descriptions of anything pointed at by the phone’s camera.
This tool can assist users with reading small text, describing surroundings, locating, or identifying objects, and detailing specific items. Furthermore, Guided Vision is already accessible within Google TalkBack.
Users can establish an accessibility shortcut for Guided Vision within the Settings app on devices running Android 9 or newer. Google advises users against depending on Guided Vision for safe-travel guidance, navigation, or obstacle detection.
