Saudi Arabia revises family visa process for skilled expatriates

Saudi Arabia introduced a change to its family visa process for skilled expatriates, allowing dependents to apply for entry visas while the head of household completes their work visa process. The Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development introduced this change.
This new procedure enables the work visa and family entry visa processes to advance at the same time. Eligible family members under this provision include spouses, sons under the age of 25, and unmarried daughters.
Family members can enter the Kingdom via this new method, after which residency procedures follow. The ministry stated that this measure supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to improve living conditions and facilitate the relocation of eligible expatriate workers with their families.
