Louis Garrel plays John Elkann in new biopic about Sergio Marchionne

Louis Garrel will portray John Elkann in a forthcoming biopic focusing on Sergio Marchionne's career. The film's narrative details Marchionne's efforts to rescue FIAT from financial collapse.
Historical accounts show that Marchionne had previously offered to take control of Chrysler in 2009. The U.S. Treasury Department subsequently accepted the proposal put forward by Marchionne.
This union of Fiat and Chrysler established the seventh-largest vehicle manufacturer. Filming for the project is scheduled to take place in Toronto.
The production involves Simone Gattoni for Kavac Film, Mattia Mor for Emotion Network, and RAI Cinema. Separately, Marco Bellocchio, who is 86 years old, released his film "The Traitor" in the U.S. in 2020.
Bellocchio also shot "Kidnapped" during 2023. Furthermore, the six-episode television series "Portobello" by Bellocchio is set to launch on HBO Max in 2026.
