FBR imposes new conditions for claiming electronic resource tax credits
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued a notification on Wednesday detailing new conditions for units seeking tax credits for electronic resources. The FBR imposed new conditions on units seeking tax credit.
Claimants must now integrate with the Board’s computerised system for real-time monitoring or reporting. Furthermore, the electronic resource must be installed, integrated, and configured within the tax year.
The tax credit allowed will equal ten percent of the sum actually invested in the electronic resource. Equipment must be used directly and exclusively for the required integration purposes.
Evidence of integration must come from a record generated by the Board’s computerised system. Support for the claim requires a tax invoice, bill, agreement, licence, or other acquisition document.
The total amount actually invested encompasses the purchase price alongside one-time costs for installation, configuration, interface development, integration, testing, and implementation.
