Warner Bros. gambles on big films after 'Digger' struggles at the box office

The film 'Digger' faced difficulties recovering from its box office showing, according to reports. Warner Bros. has planned several large-scale cinematic ventures, including 'Joker: Folie à Deux' slated for 2024, 'Mickey 17' in 2025, and 'The Bride!' in 2026.
The studio previously marketed 'Digger' using Instagram and X advertisements, urging audiences to "decide for yourself." In contrast, the film 'Sinners' managed to collect $371 million, significantly exceeding its $90 million production cost.
Alejandro G. Iñárritu directed notable films such as 'Birdman' in 2014 and 'The Revenant' in 2015. Cruise promoted his film by appearing on the "New Heights" podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce.
Early promotional trailers for 'Digger' featured a three-minute compilation showcasing Cruise's forty-six-year career.
