Ahsan Iqbal spoke at a Teachers’ Day event in Narowal, asserting that teachers build a nation’s future. During his address, Iqbal stated that peace, development, and education remain closely linked concepts.
He further advised that the education system needs to adjust to the rapid shifts brought by artificial intelligence, automation, and climate change. Iqbal stressed that students must learn to verify information, think critically, and accept accountability for their choices.
The goal of education, he noted, should aim at developing responsible citizens, not just skilled workers. Achieving the aims set out under the Uraan Pakistan initiative, Iqbal claimed, depends entirely on developing human capabilities.
Alignment among the curricula, teacher training, and examination systems, he asserted, is necessary. Finally, Iqbal declared that every classroom in Narowal ought to function as a place where hope is renewed, character is strengthened, and talent is discovered.
