Harmanpreet Kaur steps down as India's captain across all three formats
Harmanpreet Kaur relinquished her position as India's captain across all three formats of international cricket. The former captain last led the team on 22 September.
During the recent meeting in Guwahati, Kaur met with vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, head coach Amol Muzumdar, and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia. Smriti Mandhana is anticipated to take over the captaincy duties.
India recently exited the T20 World Cup during the group stage earlier this month. The team is scheduled to host Zimbabwe for a series comprising three T20 matches and three One Day Internationals starting on 16 October.
