Police raid Shewa Adda to block Sohail Afridi meeting

Police raided multiple locations on Sunday to apprehend Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and prevent a planned gathering in the Shewa Adda area of Razaar tehsil. Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Sohail Afridi intended to arrive at Shewa Adda during the evening for a scheduled event.
The meeting failed to occur as security measures intensified across the region. Sources indicate that PTI leaders instructed their supporters to assemble at the Razaar Sports Complex in Shewa Adda for the session.
Law enforcement officers began patrolling Shewa Adda and its neighboring localities, according to police sources. Authorities stationed personnel at Karnal Sher Khan Chowk within the district headquarters to monitor movement.
Additional police units were positioned along the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway as part of the security operation. The province currently operates under an emergency and governor's rule.
