Pakistan Hockey Federation launches seven-day goalkeeper training camp in Islamabad

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) launched a seven-day training camp for goalkeepers in Islamabad. Fifteen junior and senior goalkeepers are participating in the program at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium.
Dutch coach Bob Veldhof is supervising the camp, which features both morning and evening sessions. A foreign specialist goalkeeping coach will provide advanced training for the first time in Pakistan.
Training focuses on physical fitness, mental confidence, technical skills, and modern goalkeeping techniques. A PHF spokesperson said the initiative aims to strengthen the national team’s defense and prepare goalkeepers to meet the challenges of modern hockey.
The PHF stated the camp is part of its efforts to promote hockey in Pakistan and support the long-term development of the sport.
