Bitunix raises Care Fund to $50 million USDC to secure hot wallets

Bitunix increased its Care Fund from $30 million to $50 million USDC to provide a safety net for users. The cryptocurrency exchange launched the initial $30 million USDC fund in 2025.
Bitunix stated that the new $50 million USDC reserve covers the entire value of the platform's hot wallets. To manage assets, the company employs third-party custody providers Fireblocks and Cobo.

Both Fireblocks and Cobo utilise multi-party computation (MPC) technology to secure the holdings. The Care Fund is intended to facilitate compensation for unforeseen events that necessitate a response at the exchange level.
A new on-chain address for the fund has been identified by Bitunix. Users can validate the Care Fund address on Etherscan.
