The History Boys returns to London West End after 20-year absence

The History Boys returns to London’s West End after a 20-year absence. Nicholas Hytner will direct the production, marking his return to the play he first staged in 2004.
Brian and Dayna Lee are producing the show through their company, AF Creative Media. The Lees previously produced Giant, which won the Olivier for best new play and earned four Tony nominations on Broadway featuring John Lithgow.
Other works by AF Creative Media include Company, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, and Angels in America. The production is also being produced by Len Blavatnik and Danny Cohen for Access Entertainment, with Mark Rubinstein serving as executive producer.
The Lees also hold a multi-year first-look deal with London’s Royal Court Theatre. The History Boys previously won six Tony Awards on Broadway and three Olivier Awards.
