Citizens have been advised to avoid tagging home locations, disclosing their whereabouts, or posting details about daily schedules.

Millat Industrial Products Limited (MIPL) signed a cooperation agreement with China’s Xiao Dao (XDAO) to promote electric mobility in Pakistan. The deal involves a transfer of technology regarding lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and the localisation of major parts for electric motorcycles.

This initiative aligns with the electrification policy established by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. By fostering domestic manufacturing, the project is expected to lower the national import bill and conserve foreign exchange by reducing reliance on overseas components.

All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) expressed interest in purchasing between 25 MW and 50 MW of electricity from the Punjab government. The association sent a formal letter to Sania Awais, Managing Director of the Punjab Power Development Board, on 14 October.

Punjab is currently evaluating its role as a power generator in an auction for the initial 400 MW under the Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market framework. Imported medications are prohibited from sale anywhere in the country unless they possess a 2D barcode. The scope of this tracking system includes veterinary and poultry medicines as well as human pharmaceuticals.

The execution is scheduled for 3 December at Fort Hood, Texas. This event marks the first time a US military firing squad will carry out an execution since 1945.

Hegseth previously said, "we'll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it's public." Nidal Hasan killed 13 people in 2009.

The immediate family of the victims may view the execution in person.

The Exchange Rates Committee of the Financial Markets Association of Pakistan released an exchange rates bulletin on 15 October. State Bank of Pakistan settlement values for this update are set for 19 October.

A Delaware jury ruled in favour of Qualcomm against Arm, finding that the company breached obligations regarding software patches and tools for licensed designs. The jury also determined that Arm interfered with business negotiations between Qualcomm and Meta.

$2 in damages was awarded to Qualcomm, consisting of $1 for each of the two claims it won. Arm successfully defended itself against five other claims brought by the chipmaker.

Faisalabad ranked eighth among the world's 15 most polluted cities in a global ranking survey. The city experienced unhealthy air quality on most days between October 2025 and September 2026, according to findings presented by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)-Pakistan.

Muhammad Haroon of WWF-Pakistan organised an interactive session on air quality monitoring and nature conservation as part of the EPIC Air Quality Project. Sohail Ali Naqvi, director of the organisation's Freshwater Programme, led the event.

Dr Zaeem Bin Babar, assistant professor at the University of the Punjab in Lahore, contributed to the discussion. Commissioner Faisalabad Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh addressed seasonal smog and air pollution during the proceedings.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan met with Fitch Ratings to request an assessment of requirements for moving into the BB sovereign rating category. Aurangzeb also held talks with Moody’s to examine the nation's economic outlook and potential for further sovereign rating improvements. A six-party alliance has stipulated that it will not engage in discussions with the government unless opposition leaders are granted an audience with incarcerated PTI leader Imran Khan. Security forces eliminated 5 terrorists during an operation in the Washuk district of Balochistan. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq praised the security institutions on 14 October for their actions.

Rawalpindi Traffic Police will begin a major operation to target vehicles that emit smoke and contribute to air pollution. The crackdown follows specific instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam.

Special squads and dedicated inspection teams have been established by the police to identify polluting transport. These units will perform checks at city entry and exit points as well as various transport terminals.

Officers will issue significant fines and seize the vehicles of those who violate these regulations. Seized cars must remain in impound lots until owners provide valid fitness certificates.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that the provincial government will provide 100,000 electric bikes to students beginning on 5 November. A majority of these vehicles are set aside specifically for female students.

Students who lack experience in riding will be given two days of complimentary driving instruction. Over 600,000 applications have been submitted for the e-bike scheme, which has already seen more than 1.2 million registrations.

The provincial government intends to grow the Green Bus fleet from its current 700 vehicles to 3,000 units within the next six to eight months. These fully electric buses will keep their Rs. 20 fare and eventually serve all 148 tehsils across Punjab.
