Russian Education Attaché addresses certificate ceremony at Allama Iqbal Open University

Russian Education Attaché Gleb Shubin delivered a speech during a certificate distribution ceremony at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). Shubin noted that educational cooperation provides people from both nations with valuable opportunities to study each other's cultures, academic traditions, social values, and languages.
The attaché stated that these partnerships will strengthen friendly ties and boost mutual understanding between the two countries. Dr. Zahid Majeed identified the current Russian language course as the 11th batch of its kind.
Training for the subsequent batch of the Russian language course is scheduled to commence on 1 November 2026. Professor Dr. Anton Dolgov and Dr. Roman Porozov from Russia’s Ural State Pedagogical University have previously taught Russian in Pakistan.
AIOU also hosted the Japan-Pakistan Advancement Centre and Türkiye’s Yunus Emre Institute. The university intends to establish new centres for German and Chinese languages in the future.
